Device Story

DP-6900 is a portable, software-controlled ultrasound diagnostic system; acquires and displays B-Mode, M-Mode, and B/M combined mode images. Uses linear and convex array probes (2.0–10.0 MHz). Operated by qualified physicians in clinical settings. System processes acoustic echoes to generate real-time diagnostic images; supports Tissue Harmonic Imaging. Output displayed on-screen for clinician interpretation to aid in diagnosis of various anatomical structures. Benefits include non-invasive, portable diagnostic imaging capability.

Clinical Evidence

Bench testing only. Acoustic output measured per NEMA UD 2: 2004. Conformance to safety standards IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-1, IEC 60601-1-2, IEC 60601-2-37, IEC 60601-1-4, and ISO 10993-1.

Technological Characteristics

Portable ultrasound system; B-Mode, M-Mode, B/M Mode; linear and convex array transducers (2.0-10.0 MHz); Tissue Harmonic Imaging; software-controlled; conforms to IEC 60601 series and ISO 10993-1.

Indications for Use

Indicated for ultrasound imaging of abdominal, cardiac, small organ (breast, thyroid, testes), urological, peripheral vascular, intraoperative, pediatric, cephalic, fetal, transrectal, transvaginal, and neonatal musculoskeletal structures in patients requiring diagnostic ultrasound evaluation.

Regulatory Classification

Identification

A diagnostic ultrasonic transducer is a device made of a piezoelectric material that converts electrical signals into acoustic signals and acoustic signals into electrical signals and intended for use in diagnostic ultrasonic medical devices. Accessories of this generic type of device may include transmission media for acoustically coupling the transducer to the body surface, such as acoustic gel, paste, or a flexible fluid container.
