Intended Use

LED Light Therapy Mask is an over the counter device that is intended to use LED light for the treatment of wrinkles and mild to moderate acne.

Device Story

LED Light Therapy Mask uses red (620nm), blue (460nm), and infrared (850nm) light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to treat wrinkles and mild to moderate acne. The device consists of a mask worn over the face; some models include a handheld controller for mode selection and power control. The device operates by irradiating the skin with specific light wavelengths; it includes a protective eye-shield to prevent ocular exposure. The device is intended for home use by the patient. It features an automatic shut-off mechanism after each treatment session. The output is light energy; the clinical benefit is the reduction of wrinkles and acne. The device is powered by an external adapter or internal Li-ion battery.

Clinical Evidence

Bench testing only. No clinical data provided. Testing included electrical safety (IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-11), electromagnetic compatibility (IEC 60601-1-2), photobiological safety (IEC 62471), battery safety (IEC 62133-2), and biocompatibility (ISO 10993-5, -10, -23). Software verification and validation were performed per FDA guidance.

Technological Characteristics

Materials: ABS, Silicone, Strap. Light source: LEDs (Red 620±10nm, Blue 460±10nm, IR 850±10nm). Power: AC adapter or Li-ion battery. Connectivity: Standalone. Standards: IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-2, IEC 60601-1-11, IEC 60601-2-57, IEC 62471, IEC 62133-2. Biocompatibility: ISO 10993-5, -10, -23.

The LED Light Therapy Mask adopts the form of a mask that contains LEDs on the inner surface of the main unit. A controller (Only for SKB-2318L,SKB-2318PRO, IN-FM002,SKB-2418) is connected to the main unit to control the device, such as turn on/off the device, switch mode (LED color). To use the device, user should place the mask over the face and use the controller to operate. The device will automatically turn off after each treatment. To prevent irradiation of LED lights to eyes during the treatment, LED Light Therapy Mask has incorporated protective eye-shield which blocks light energy from LEDs. #### (6) Indications for use: LED Light Therapy Mask is an over the counter device that is intended to use LED light for the treatment of wrinkles and mild to moderate acne. | (7) Materials | | | | |---------------|-----------------------|-----------------------|------------------| | Component | Material of Component | Body Contact Category | Contact Duration | {6}------------------------------------------------ | name | | | | |---------------------------|----------------------|-------------------------------------------|--------------------| | LED light
therapy mask | ABS, Silicone, Strap | Surface-contacting
device: Intact skin | Less than 24 hours | We have tested the device for biocompatibility by a reliable third-party lab.
