Device Story

WS80A is a mobile, software-controlled diagnostic ultrasound system. It acquires ultrasound data via various transducers and displays it in B-mode, M-mode, Color/Power Doppler, Spectral Doppler (PW/CW), Harmonic imaging, Tissue Doppler, 3D/4D, and Elastoscan modes. Used in clinical settings by healthcare professionals to visualize anatomical structures and fluid flow. The system provides measurement and analysis packages to assist in diagnosis. It features real-time acoustic output display (mechanical/thermal indices). New software features include IOTA-ADNEX (statistical risk model for ovary exams), BiometryAssist (fetal growth measurement), and CrystalVue Flow (rendered images with Color Doppler). Output is displayed on-screen for clinician interpretation to guide clinical decision-making, such as biopsy guidance or fetal monitoring.

Performance testing confirmed the functionality of new software features (IOTA-ADNEX, BiometryAssist) and image quality improvements (CrystalVue Flow, Needle Mate).

Technological Characteristics

Mobile ultrasound system using linear, curved, endocavity, and phased array transducers (1.0–20.0 MHz). Supports B, M, PW/CW Doppler, Color/Power Doppler, 3D/4D, and Elastoscan. Complies with IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-2, IEC 60601-2-37, and NEMA UD 2/3 standards. Patient contact materials tested per ISO 10993-1. Software-controlled processing.
