- A resorbable calcium salt bone void filler device containing gentamicin is a resorbable implant intended to fill bony defects of the extremities as part of the standard-of-care treatment of defects resulting from osteomyelitis or defects resulting from trauma where the risk of infection may be increased. The gentamicin is intended to prevent colonization of the resorbable calcium salt bone void filler device. It is not intended to treat or prevent infection. The resorbable calcium salt bone void filler device containing gentamicin is intended to resorb over time and be replaced by new bone.
