Device Story

Hercules 3 Stage Wire Guided Balloon is a single-use, wire-guided endoscopic device. It consists of a coaxial catheter with a dilation balloon mounted on the distal tip. The device is used by clinicians to dilate gastrointestinal strictures. The balloon is inflated with fluid to three distinct, progressively larger diameters to exert radial pressure on the stricture. The device is supplied sterile and is intended for single use. It is used in conjunction with an inflation device (sold separately).

Clinical Evidence

No clinical data provided; substantial equivalence is supported by design control processes and performance testing.

Technological Characteristics

Coaxial catheter with distal dilation balloon; fluid-inflatable to three distinct diameters; wire-guided; single-use; supplied sterile.

Indications for Use

Indicated for patients requiring dilation of strictures in the gastrointestinal tract, including the esophagus, pylorus, duodenum, and colon.
