Intended Use

The SimpleLine II Abutment system is intended for use as an aid in prosthetic rehabilitation.

Device Story

SimpleLine II Abutment System consists of various dental abutment components (cover screws, healing abutments, solid/dual/angled/temporary/casting abutments) used in prosthetic rehabilitation. These components connect to endosseous dental implants to support artificial teeth. Used in clinical dental settings by licensed professionals; components are surgically placed or attached to implants to restore chewing function. The system provides the mechanical interface between the implant and the final dental prosthesis. Benefits include restoration of oral function and aesthetics for patients with missing teeth.

Clinical Evidence

No clinical data. Evidence consists of bench testing including biocompatibility (ISO 10993/ISO 7405: cytotoxicity, pyrogenicity, sensitization, intracutaneous reactivity, systemic toxicity) and mechanical performance testing (ISO static compressive torque force, fatigue, and adaptation accuracy).

Technological Characteristics

Materials: Ti-6Al-4V ELI alloy (ASTM F136), Pure Titanium Gr4 (ASTM F67), Ti-Gr2 (ASTM F67), Gold alloy, Co-Cr-Mo (ASTM F799). Components include various abutment types (solid, dual, angled, casting, temporary). Angled abutments available in 3.8-6.5mm diameters with 15° and 25° angles. Mechanical interface for endosseous dental implants.

Indications for Use

Indicated for use as an aid in prosthetic rehabilitation in patients requiring dental implant-supported restorations.

Regulatory Classification

Identification

An endosseous dental implant abutment is a premanufactured prosthetic component directly connected to the endosseous dental implant and is intended for use as an aid in prosthetic rehabilitation.

Special Controls

*Classification.* Class II (special controls). The guidance document entitled “Class II Special Controls Guidance Document: Root-Form Endosseous Dental Implants and Endosseous Dental Implant Abutments” will serve as the special control.
