Device Story

VANES Delivery System (VDS) comprises outer introducer catheter, 2 inner subselection catheters, slitter, and transvalvular introducer tool (TVI); used for venous access of guidewires, pacing/defibrillation leads, and catheters. Outer catheter functions alone or in telescopic assembly with inner catheters to navigate venous anatomy; distal end curves facilitate sub-selective access to angulated lateral vein branches. Proximal end features hemostasis valve to prevent blood loss/air embolism and side-port with 3-way stopcock for fluid/contrast infusion. Device is single-use, short-term (<24 hours), operated by trained medical doctors/personnel in clinical settings. Fluoroscopic visibility provided by polymeric x-ray marker at distal tip. System acts as conduit for device delivery; aids physician in precise placement of cardiac rhythm management leads.

You may, therefore, market the device, subject to the general controls provisions of the Act. Although this letter refers to your product as a device, please be aware that some cleared products may instead be combination products.
