Intended Use

Components mixed in applicator tip immediately prior to use; forms cohesive, self-setting, hardening calcium phosphate-based material. Applied by surgeon to cranial defect; interdigitates with bone to provide mechanical fixation of bone flaps post-craniotomy. Hardened material remains in place; resorbs over time (>30 days). Used in clinical setting; provides alternative to metallic hardware for cranial flap fixation.

Clinical Evidence

No clinical studies conducted. Evidence consists of bench testing (visual inspection, stiffness, leak testing, temperature sensitivity, water uptake/swelling/dissolution, cranial flap fixation force) and prior in-vivo animal testing for safety/suitability in critical-sized cranial defects, supplemented by ex-vivo cadaver testing.
