Intended Use

Device Story

Two-component PMMA-based bone cement system; powder component (PMMA-styrene copolymer, barium sulphate, hydroxyapatite, benzoyl peroxide) and liquid component (methyl methacrylate monomer, hydroquinone, N,N-dimethyl-p-toluidine). Components mixed manually by clinician prior to use in vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty procedures. Cement injected into vertebral body to stabilize fractures caused by osteoporosis, tumors, or malignancy. Hardens in situ to provide structural support and pain relief. Used in clinical settings by physicians.
