Chemical indicator for steam sterilization monitoring; consists of paper wick and steam/temperature-sensitive chemical pellet in paper/film/foil laminate. Placed inside sterilization containment devices (packs, trays, etc.) by healthcare personnel. During steam sterilization, chemical pellet melts and migrates as dark color along wick. Migration extent depends on steam, time, and temperature. Visual output window indicates 'ACCEPT' or 'REJECT' based on whether critical sterilization parameters were met. Provides immediate visual confirmation of sterilization cycle performance to healthcare providers; ensures sterility assurance of processed items; benefits patient by reducing risk of using non-sterile instruments.

Bench testing only. Performance verified via resistometer testing for stated values at various temperatures (250°F-275°F), dry heat testing, side-by-side testing with biological indicators, and endpoint color stability testing. All tests passed.
