Intended Use

The device is intended for transection, and/or creation of anastomoses. The instruments have application in multiple open or minimally invasive general abdominal, gynecologic, thoracic, and pediatric surgical procedures.

Device Story

Single-use endoscopic linear cutting stapler; places two, triple-staggered rows of titanium staples while simultaneously dividing tissue along a central line. Manual operation; includes safety mechanism (green button) to prevent mis-firing. Available in multiple lengths (70mm, 160mm) and staple sizes (2.5mm, 3.5mm, 4.1mm, 4.8mm) to accommodate varying tissue thicknesses. Device is reloadable up to 25 times for 1 firing per procedure. Used by surgeons in OR settings for general, gynecologic, thoracic, and pediatric procedures. Provides mechanical tissue closure and transection; benefits include standardized staple formation and hemostasis during surgical resection or anastomosis.

Clinical Evidence

No clinical data. Bench testing only, including biocompatibility (cytotoxicity, sensitization, irritation, pyrogenicity), package integrity, shelf life, and mechanical performance (firing force, staple formation, staple line pressure/tensile, hemostasis).

Technological Characteristics

Titanium staples; manual actuation; linear cutting mechanism. Complies with ISO 10993-1/5/10 (biocompatibility), ISO 11137-2 (radiation sterilization), ASTM F 88/F88M-09 (seal strength), and USP <85>/<151> (endotoxins/pyrogens).

Indications for Use

Indicated for transection, resection, and/or creation of anastomoses in open or minimally invasive general abdominal, gynecologic, thoracic, and pediatric surgical procedures.
