Intended Use

Device Story
ImagenSPECT™ is a Windows-based software application for processing, reconstructing, and reorienting myocardial perfusion SPECT images. It accepts gated and ungated cardiac SPECT data from commercial gamma cameras. The system performs motion correction, applies filters, adjusts reconstruction settings, and models distance-dependent blur to create 3D tomographic data. Used by qualified healthcare providers (radiologists, nuclear cardiologists, nuclear medicine physicians) in clinical settings, the software outputs processed datasets for visualization on separate workstations. By enhancing image quality through resolution recovery and iterative reconstruction, the device assists clinicians in identifying cardiac disease, potentially improving diagnostic accuracy for patients.

Bench testing only. Comparison of technological characteristics and intended use confirmed equivalence to predicates. Performance validation included testing of half-count density (full-time scan, half dose/half-time, full dose) reconstructed with resolution recovery and iterative reconstruction, demonstrating equivalence to the predicate AutoSPECT with Astonish (K090403).

We have reviewed your Section 510(k) premarket notification of intent to market the device referenced above and have determined the device is substantially equivalent (for the indications for use stated in the enclosure) to legally marketed predicate devices marketed in interstate commerce prior to May 28, 1976, the enactment date of the Medical Device Amendments, or to devices that have been reclassified in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (Act) that do not require approval of a premarket approval application (PMA). You may, therefore, market the device, subject to the general controls provisions of the Act. The general controls provisions of the Act include requirements for annual registration, listing of devices, good manufacturing practice, labeling, and prohibitions against misbranding and adulteration. Please note: CDRH does not evaluate information related to contract liability warranties. We remind you, however, that device labeling must be truthful and not misleading.

#### D. Device Description:
ImagenSPECTTM is a Windows application which allows physicians and healthcare professionals to inspect. reconstruct and reorient myocardial perfusion SPECT images. The system processes gated and ungated SPECT cardiac images to create 3D tomographic data. The user can correct for patient motion, change filter setting, change reconstruction settings, range of reconstruction, and reorientation angles. The application also models the influence of distance dependent blur. The use of this system is limited to qualified, licensed healthcare providers (radiologists, nuclear cardiologists or nuclear medicine physicians) trained in the use of nuclear medicine imaging devices.
The ImagenSPECT™ system is designed to take nuclear medicine data from commercially available SPECT systems and process the data into a format that can be visualized by a separate computer program or workstation.
