Intended Use

The Everyway Low Back Pain Relief System, model EV-820 is indicated for over the counter use in the temporary relief of pain associated with sore and aching muscles in the low back due to strain from exercise or normal household and work activities.

Device Story

The Everyway Low Back Pain Relief System (EV-820) is a non-invasive TENS device for over-the-counter pain relief. The system consists of a stimulation unit, a support belt, self-adhesive electrodes, and snap cables. The user wears the belt on the lower back, positioning the electrodes over the treatment area. The device generates 8 pre-programmed stimulation pulse modes to provide electrical nerve stimulation. It is intended for patient self-use to manage sore and aching muscles. By delivering electrical pulses, the device aims to provide temporary pain relief, potentially reducing the need for other interventions.

Clinical Evidence

No clinical testing was conducted for the EV-820. Evidence is based on bench testing, including performance compliance (ANSI/AAMI NS4), usability (IEC 60601-1-6), electrical safety (IEC 60601-1), EMC (IEC 60601-1-2), and biocompatibility (ISO 10993-5 & 10).

Technological Characteristics

Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulator (TENS). Components: stimulation unit, support belt, self-adhesive electrodes, snap cables. Materials: biocompatible belt and electrodes (ISO 10993). Connectivity: standalone. Power: electrical stimulation. Software: 8 pre-programmed stimulation pulse modes.

Indications for Use

Indicated for over-the-counter use in adults for temporary relief of low back muscle pain caused by strain from exercise, household, or work activities.

Regulatory Classification

Identification
