Intended Use

The Oral/Enteral Syringes is intended for the delivery of liquid medication, formula, and breast milk.

Device Story

Oral/Enteral Syringes facilitate delivery of liquid medication, formula, and breast milk to neonates and infants. Device features specialized safety connectors preventing connection to IV systems (non-Luer compatible). Operated by trained caregivers in hospital or home settings. Syringe barrels, plungers, and end caps made of Polypropylene; pistons made of Silicone. Disposable, single-patient use design ensures hygiene and prevents cross-contamination. Safety connectors mitigate risk of inadvertent enteral-to-IV misconnections.

Clinical Evidence

Bench testing only. Testing included volume measurement accuracy, enteral feeding extension set interface, size and material inspection, biocompatibility, sterility, reliability, labeling, environmental operating, and storage testing. Results met all acceptance criteria.

Technological Characteristics

Materials: Polypropylene (barrels, plungers, end caps), Silicone (pistons). Design: Manual syringe with safety connectors incompatible with Luer lock/slip fittings. Single-patient use, disposable. No energy source. No software.

Indications for Use

Indicated for neonates and infants for delivery of liquid medication, formula, and breast milk. For use in hospital and home environments by trained caregivers. Disposable, single-patient use only.
