Device Story

Bio-Med® Soft Insulin Syringe is a sterile, single-use, disposable hypodermic piston syringe with a permanently affixed lumen needle. Available in 1.0cc, 0.5cc, and 0.3cc capacities with 29G, 30G, or 31G needle gauges and 1/2" or 5/16" lengths. Device includes a barrel, plunger rod with synthetic rubber gasket, and orange protective end-cap. Used for subcutaneous delivery of U-100 insulin. Operated by patients or healthcare providers in clinical or home settings. Manual operation via piston mechanism. Benefits include precise insulin dosing and maintenance of sterility for the fluid path.

Clinical Evidence

Bench testing only. Device meets ISO 7864 (sterile hypodermic needles) and ISO 8537 (sterile single-use insulin syringes) standards. Biocompatibility testing performed per ISO 10993 parts 4, 5, 10, 11, and 12.
