## Device Story

Ceralas D Diode Laser System is a surgical laser used in dental procedures. It operates with a power range of 1-15W in continuous wave (CW) or pulsed mode. The device delivers laser energy via an optical fiber equipped with an SMA 905 connector. It is intended for use by dental professionals in clinical settings to perform various soft tissue surgeries and dental treatments. The laser energy is used for tissue ablation, coagulation, and decontamination. By providing precise energy delivery, the device assists clinicians in performing procedures such as pulpotomy, gingivectomy, and frenectomy, potentially improving surgical outcomes and patient recovery compared to traditional methods.

## Clinical Evidence

No clinical data; bench testing only.

## Technological Characteristics

Diode laser system; power range 1-15W; CW or pulsed mode; delivery via optical fiber with SMA 905 connector.

## Regulatory Identification

(1) A carbon dioxide laser for use in general surgery and in dermatology is a laser device intended to cut, destroy, or remove tissue by light energy emitted by carbon dioxide.(2) An argon laser for use in dermatology is a laser device intended to destroy or coagulate tissue by light energy emitted by argon.

## Predicate Devices
