Intended Use

The Auto Suture™ ENDO CLIP™ III 5mm Clip Applier is primarily indicated for patients undergoing laparoscopic surgical procedures involving dissection and occlusion of blood vessels, ducts and other tubular structures, and for radiographic marking.

Device Story

The Auto Suture™ ENDO CLIP™ III 5mm Clip Applier is a manual surgical instrument containing 16 titanium clips. Used in laparoscopic procedures, the device is introduced through a trocar sleeve. The operator (surgeon) uses a trigger handle to advance a clip into the distal jaws and close them around a vessel, duct, or tubular structure to achieve occlusion. The device also serves for radiographic marking. It features a 33 cm shaft, shaft rotation knob, and clip counter window. The device provides mechanical ligation, aiding in hemostasis and structure management during minimally invasive surgery.

Clinical Evidence

No clinical data. Substantial equivalence supported by in-vitro and in-vivo bench testing to verify performance in occluding vessels and tubular structures.

Technological Characteristics

Manual mechanical clip applier; 33 cm shaft length; contains 16 titanium clips. Materials comply with ISO 10993-1. Device is designed for use through a trocar sleeve.

Indications for Use

Indicated for patients undergoing laparoscopic surgical procedures requiring dissection and occlusion of blood vessels, ducts, and other tubular structures, or for radiographic marking.
