Device Story
Schoelly Laparoscopes are rigid endoscopes used for visualization of internal body cavities, hollow organs, and canals. Operated by physicians in clinical or surgical settings, the device transmits images to the clinician to facilitate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. The device functions as a conduit for light and optical imaging, allowing the surgeon to navigate and perform procedures within the patient's body. It is used in conjunction with auxiliary surgical instruments to perform minimally invasive surgery. The device benefits patients by providing direct visualization of internal anatomy, enabling precise diagnostic assessment and therapeutic action while minimizing the need for open surgery.
