Device Story

4K Endoscopic Camera System (models SV-800, SV-800I, SV-800R, SV-800N) comprises a camera control unit (CCU) and 4K camera head. Device connects to optical endoscopes to capture, process, and transmit internal body cavity images to a monitor for physician observation during diagnosis or surgery. System supports white light imaging (WLI) and automatic white balance. Features include real-time image recording to external USB or internal hard disk. Operated by clinicians in clinical settings. Output allows real-time visualization of surgical sites, aiding clinical decision-making during endoscopic procedures.

Clinical Evidence

Bench testing only. Performance testing verified device functions against design specifications. Reprocessing (cleaning, disinfection, sterilization) validated. Software and cybersecurity validation performed per FDA guidance. Compliance with IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-2, and IEC 60601-2-18 confirmed.

Technological Characteristics

System includes CCU and 4K camera head with CMOS image sensor. Resolution: 3840x2160/1920x1080. Interfaces: 12G SDI, 3G SDI, HDMI. Power: 100-240V, 50/60Hz. Sterilization: ASP Sterrad 100NX plasma. Standards: IEC 60601-1:2020, IEC 60601-1-2:2021, IEC 60601-2-18:2009. Software-defined functionality differentiates the four models.

Indications for Use

Indicated for use with an optical endoscope for visualization during endoscopic diagnosis, treatment, and observation in human body cavities.
