## Indications for Use

The intended use is specific for each transducer: P12A - Vascular PT10A - Transcranial P10A - Cardiac PA11A - Cardiac/ Transcranial

## Device Story

Diagnostic ultrasound transducers (P10A, P12A, PT10A, PA11-A) used for medical imaging. Devices convert electrical signals into ultrasonic waves and receive reflected echoes to produce diagnostic images or measurements. Operated by clinicians in clinical settings. PA11-A supports B-mode, M-mode, PW, CW, CFM, and Power Color modes; P10A, P12A, and PT10A are CW transducers. Output displayed on compatible ultrasound systems to assist in clinical diagnosis of cardiac, vascular, and transcranial structures.

## Clinical Evidence

No clinical data provided; bench testing only.

## Technological Characteristics

Diagnostic ultrasound transducers with operating frequencies ranging from 2.0 to 5.0 MHz. PA11-A features electronic connectors; P10A, P12A, and PT10A feature mechanical connectors. Safety requirements meet IEC 601-1 (CEI 62-5). Operating temperature range +10 to +40°C.

## Regulatory Identification

An ultrasonic pulsed echo imaging system is a device intended to project a pulsed sound beam into body tissue to determine the depth or location of the tissue interfaces and to measure the duration of an acoustic pulse from the transmitter to the tissue interface and back to the receiver. This generic type of device may include signal analysis and display equipment, patient and equipment supports, component parts, and accessories.

## Special Controls

*Classification.* Class II (special controls). A biopsy needle guide kit intended for use with an ultrasonic pulsed echo imaging system only is exempt from the premarket notification procedures in subpart E of part 807 of this chapter subject to the limitations in § 892.9.
