Intended Use

Flow-Nail is a dynamic compression trochanteric nail system used for orthopedic fracture fixation. System components include an intramedullary nail, fenestrated lag screw, anti-rotation screw, cortical screws, and cap. Device functions as an internal fixation rod for proximal femur fractures; additionally serves as a conduit for delivering injectable bone void fillers to surgical sites. Used in clinical/surgical settings by orthopedic surgeons. Device provides mechanical stabilization of fractures; bone void filler delivery aids in bone healing/reconstruction. Components are titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V). Provided non-sterile for single-use; requires surgical implantation.

Clinical Evidence

Bench testing only. Performance testing included dynamic and static compression bending strength testing per ASTM F384 and engineering analysis per ASTM F1264.
