## Intended Use

The Biomet JuggerLoc™ Bone system is intended for repair in the foot and ankle including indications for: Midfoot repair including but not limited to Lisfranc repair, ankle syndesmosis fixation (syndesmosis disruptions), and as an adjunct in connection with trauma hardware for Weber B and C ankle fractures.

## Device Story

JuggerLoc Bone to Bone System is a suture-based construct for bone fracture stabilization. Device utilizes a JuggerKnot soft anchor combined with a metal button and ZipLoop technology. System is used by orthopedic surgeons in clinical settings to repair foot and ankle injuries, including Lisfranc repairs and syndesmosis disruptions. By providing a secure fixation construct, the device assists in stabilizing bone segments during the healing process. It serves as an adjunct to traditional trauma hardware.

## Clinical Evidence

No clinical data provided. Substantial equivalence is based on bench testing and comparison of technological characteristics.

## Technological Characteristics

Suture-based bone fixation construct. Components include a soft anchor and a metal button. Utilizes ZipLoop technology. Materials and design are consistent with predicate orthopedic fixation devices. Sterilization and specific material standards are not detailed in the provided text.

## Regulatory Identification

Single/multiple component metallic bone fixation appliances and accessories are devices intended to be implanted consisting of one or more metallic components and their metallic fasteners. The devices contain a plate, a nail/plate combination, or a blade/plate combination that are made of alloys, such as cobalt-chromium-molybdenum, stainless steel, and titanium, that are intended to be held in position with fasteners, such as screws and nails, or bolts, nuts, and washers. These devices are used for fixation of fractures of the proximal or distal end of long bones, such as intracapsular, intertrochanteric, intercervical, supracondylar, or condylar fractures of the femur; for fusion of a joint; or for surgical procedures that involve cutting a bone. The devices may be implanted or attached through the skin so that a pulling force (traction) may be applied to the skeletal system.
