Zibone Zirconia Blocks are intended for CAD/CAM fabrication of full ceramic dental restorations such as copings, crowns, inlays, onlays, veneers, and bridges of 3 or less units.
Device Story
Zibone Zirconia Blocks consist of partially sintered zirconium oxide (ZrO2) in cylinder or rectangular bar forms. Used by dental professionals in clinical or laboratory settings; blocks are CNC machined via CAD/CAM systems to create dental restorations (crowns, bridges, etc.). Material provides structural foundation for prosthetics; final color customized during sintering. Benefits include biocompatibility and mechanical strength for dental reconstruction.
Clinical Evidence
Bench testing only. Evaluated physical/mechanical properties (thermal expansion, chemical solubility, 4-point bending strength) per ISO 6872. Biocompatibility testing included cytotoxicity (ISO 10993-5, 11), sensitization/irritation (ISO 10993-10), and pyrogenicity (ISO 10993-11, USP 151).
Technological Characteristics
Material: Partially sintered zirconium oxide (ZrO2). Conforms to ISO 6872:2008. Form factor: Cylinders (98mm diameter, 12-20mm height) and rectangular bars (16mm height). Fabrication: CNC machining via CAD/CAM. Biocompatibility: ISO 10993 compliant.
Indications for Use
Indicated for patients requiring full ceramic dental restorations, including copings, crowns, inlays, onlays, veneers, and bridges of 3 or less units, fabricated via CAD/CAM systems.
Regulatory Classification
Identification
Porcelain powder for clinical use is a device consisting of a mixture of kaolin, felspar, quartz, or other substances intended for use in the production of artificial teeth in fixed or removable dentures, of jacket crowns, facings, and veneers. The device is used in prosthetic dentistry by heating the powder mixture to a high temperature in an oven to produce a hard prosthesis with a glass-like finish.
