Its operating principle is identical to that of the Predicate device (K073678), wherein an electrical signal from the generator is converted into mechanical vibrations by a piezo transducer, which in turn drives the attached tip (not included in this submission). This fundamental technology, as well as functions such as controlling ultrasonic output and irrigation volume, are shared with the Predicate device. On the other hand, the subject device differs from the Predicate device in several aspects, including the dimensions and weight of the control unit, the adoption of a touch panel display, and the connection method for the wireless foot control.
