System integrates with external drive motor, disposable centrifugal pump, flow transducer with disposable insert, and emergency handcrank. Used in clinical settings (e.g., OR) by perfusionists or clinicians to manage extracorporeal bypass circuits. Device transforms user inputs into pump speed control; monitors sensors and alarms; manages coast speed; ensures pump speed exceeds coast speed to maintain clamp opening. Output provides real-time flow control and system status monitoring to assist clinicians in maintaining hemodynamic support during bypass. Benefits include precise control of blood flow during cardiac procedures. ## Clinical Evidence Bench testing only. Software verification and validation testing confirmed that the device and its software-controlled functional characteristics are substantially equivalent to the predicate device. All test data satisfied documented product and performance specifications. ## Technological Characteristics Extracorporeal blood pumping console; base unit with touch screen interface and flow control knob. Compatible with external drive motor, disposable centrifugal pump, flow transducer, and emergency handcrank. Software-controlled sensor and alarm management. Class II device (21 CFR 870.4380). ## Regulatory Identification A cardiopulmonary bypass pump speed control is a device used that incorporates an electrical system or a mechanical system, or both, and is used to control the speed of blood pumps used in cardiopulmonary bypass surgery. ## Predicate Devices - Medtronic Bio-Console® 560 ([K070286](/device/K070286.md)) ## Related Devices - [K051303](/device/K051303.md) — BIO-CONSOLE, MODEL 560 · Medtronic Perfusion Systems · Jun 10, 2005 - [K070286](/device/K070286.md) — BIO-CONSOLE, MODEL 560 · Medtronic · May 22, 2007 - [K131964](/device/K131964.md) — BIO-CONSOLE 560 EXTRACORPOREAL BLOOD PUMPING CONSOLE · Medtronic, Inc. · Jul 24, 2013 - [K230364](/device/K230364.md) — VitalFlow™ Console · Michigan Critical Care Consultants, Inc.
