## Indications for Use

The Orion™ Micro Catheter device is intended for the controlled selective infusion of physician-specified therapeutics agents or contrast media into the vasculature of the peripheral and neuro anatomy.

## Device Story

Orion™ Micro Catheter is a .021-inch delivery catheter used in peripheral and neurovascular procedures. Device features proximal stainless steel hypotube for pushability; distal multi-durometer Pebax shaft with progressive pitch Nitinol braid reinforcement; continuous PTFE liner for low-friction delivery; and DMSO-compatible polymer hub. Two radiopaque marker bands on distal shaft assist with stent or coil detachment. Operated by physicians in clinical settings to deliver therapeutic agents or contrast media. Device facilitates navigation through tortuous anatomy and stent/coil delivery. Benefits include controlled infusion and improved trackability during endovascular interventions.

## Clinical Evidence

No clinical data. Evidence consists of non-clinical performance testing including biocompatibility (cytotoxicity, sensitization, intracutaneous, systemic toxicity, pyrogen, coagulation, thromboresistance, complement activation), bench testing (aspiration, particle, tip shape retention, trackability, coating integrity, dimensional, distribution, DMSO compatibility, pressure burst, stent compatibility, flow rate, kink diameter, tensile strength, tortuous model), and in-vitro design validation (pushability, navigability, radiopacity, stent delivery friction, stability, ability to cross clot).

## Technological Characteristics

Materials: stainless steel hypotube, multi-durometer Pebax shaft, Nitinol braid reinforcement, PTFE liner, DMSO-compatible polymer hub. Dimensions: .021 inch. Features: 2 radiopaque marker bands. Sterilization: Not specified. Connectivity: None. Software: None.

## Regulatory Identification

A continuous flush catheter is an attachment to a catheter-transducer system that permits continuous intravascular flushing at a slow infusion rate for the purpose of eliminating clotting, back-leakage, and waveform damping.
