## Indications for Use

The i-Scope 200 is intended for medical diagnostic purposes only. It can be used for the amplification of heart, lung and other body sounds with the use of selective frequency and can be used on any patient undergoing a physical assessment.

## Device Story

i-Scope 200 is a digital stethoscope designed to amplify heart, lung, and other body sounds while filtering noise. It replaces traditional acoustic tubes with electronic amplification and selective frequency filtering. The device features soft earphone materials to improve comfort during long-term use. It is intended for use by healthcare professionals during physical assessments to aid in medical diagnosis. The device captures acoustic signals from the body, processes them electronically to enhance clarity and filter specific frequencies, and delivers the amplified sound to the clinician via earphones. This allows for improved auscultation compared to conventional stethoscopes, potentially facilitating more accurate diagnostic assessments.

## Clinical Evidence

No clinical data provided; substantial equivalence is based on technological characteristics and intended use comparisons.

## Technological Characteristics

Digital stethoscope; electronic amplification; selective frequency filtering; soft material earphone interface. Device operates as an electronic signal processing system for acoustic body sounds.

## Regulatory Identification

Manual stethoscope: A mechanical device used to project the sounds associated with the heart, arteries, and veins and other internal organs. Electronic stethoscope: An electrically amplified device used to project the sounds associated with the heart, arteries, and veins and other internal organs.

## Special Controls

Dear Mr. Kim:

We have reviewed your Section 510(k) premarket notification of intent to market the device referenced above and have determined the device is substantially equivalent (for the indications for use stated in the enclosure) to legally marketed predicate devices marketed in interstate commerce prior to May 28, 1976, the enactment date of the Medical Device Amendments, or to devices that have been reclassified in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (Act) that do not require approval of a premarket approval application (PMA). You may, therefore, market the device, subject to the general controls provisions of the Act. The general controls provisions of the Act include requirements for annual registration, listing of devices, good manufacturing practice, labeling, and prohibitions against misbranding and adulteration.

If your device is classified (see above) into either class II (Special Controls) or class III (PMA), it may be subject to such additional controls.
