Intended Use

The ResQPOD Circulatory Enhancer is indicated for home, hospital, clinic and emergency care use, for the temporary increase in blood circulation as directed by a physician or licensed practitioner.

Device Story

ResQPOD Circulatory Enhancer is a mechanical device designed to increase blood circulation. It attaches to adjunctive airway devices, including mouthpieces, facemasks (via ISO 22mm connector), or endotracheal tubes (via 15mm to 22mm adapter). The device incorporates timing assist lights to encourage proper inspiration rates. It is intended for use in home, hospital, clinic, and emergency care environments under the direction of a physician or licensed practitioner. The device functions by modifying airway pressure to enhance circulatory return. Healthcare providers use the device to support patients needing circulatory enhancement; the output (enhanced circulation) is intended to improve patient outcomes during emergency or clinical care.

Clinical Evidence

No clinical data provided. Safety and effectiveness were demonstrated through bench testing in compliance with the Design Control process.

Technological Characteristics

Mechanical circulatory enhancer; connects to airway devices via ISO 15mm/22mm adapters. Features timing assist lights for inspiration rate guidance. Materials are identical to predicate (K022906) and are commercially available respiratory-grade materials. Standalone device; no software or connectivity.

Indications for Use

Indicated for patients in home, hospital, clinic, or emergency care settings requiring temporary increase in blood circulation, as directed by a physician or licensed practitioner.

Regulatory Classification

Identification
