Architect Free T4 MasterCheck is intended for use in the verification of sensitivity, calibration linearity, and reportable range on the Abbott Architect i System
Device Story
Architect Free T4 MasterCheck is a multi-level human serum-based control product used in clinical laboratory settings. It contains Free T4 (levels 1-3) and a preservative (sodium azide). The device is used by laboratory technicians to verify the performance of the Abbott Architect i System, specifically for sensitivity, calibration linearity, and reportable range. By running these samples, the user compares the system's output against expected values to ensure the assay is performing within specifications. This verification process supports clinical decision-making by ensuring the accuracy and reliability of patient Free T4 test results.
Clinical Evidence
No clinical data; bench testing only.
Technological Characteristics
Liquid human serum matrix containing Free T4 and sodium azide preservative. Designed for use with the Abbott Architect i System. Storage at 2-8°C.
Indications for Use
Indicated for use as a calibration verification material for the Abbott Architect i System to verify sensitivity, calibration linearity, and reportable range of the Free T4 assay.
Regulatory Classification
Identification
A quality control material (assayed and unassayed) for clinical chemistry is a device intended for medical purposes for use in a test system to estimate test precision and to detect systematic analytical deviations that may arise from reagent or analytical instrument variation. A quality control material (assayed and unassayed) may be used for proficiency testing in interlaboratory surveys. This generic type of device includes controls (assayed and unassayed) for blood gases, electrolytes, enzymes, multianalytes (all kinds), single (specified) analytes, or urinalysis controls.
