Intended Use
ABL555 is a stand alone, blood gas, electrolyte and metabolite analyzer that measures pH, pCO2, pO2 Na+, K+, Hct, and the option of one of the following parameters: Cl- or Ca2+ or glucose or lactate.
Device Story
ABL555 is an automated, standalone blood gas, electrolyte, and metabolite analyzer. Device measures pH, pCO2, pO2, Na+, K+, Hct, and one optional parameter (Cl-, Ca2+, glucose, or lactate) from whole blood samples. Analysis time is approximately 54 seconds. Device dimensions are 40 cm x 55 cm x 40 cm; weight is 37.5 kg. Operated by clinical laboratory personnel to provide rapid diagnostic data for patient management. Output allows healthcare providers to assess acid-base balance, electrolyte status, and metabolic parameters, facilitating clinical decision-making in acute care or laboratory environments.
Technological Characteristics
Automated blood gas, electrolyte, and metabolite analyzer. Dimensions: 40 cm x 55 cm x 40 cm. Weight: 37.5 kg. Measures pH, pCO2, pO2, Na+, K+, Hct, and optional parameters via electrochemical sensing. Standalone unit.
Indications for Use
Indicated for the measurement of pH, pCO2, pO2, Na+, K+, Hct, and optionally Cl-, Ca2+, glucose, or lactate in whole blood samples. Intended for prescription use in clinical settings.
Regulatory Classification
Identification
A creatine phosphokinase/creatine kinase or isoenzymes test system is a device intended to measure the activity of the enzyme creatine phosphokinase or its isoenzymes (a group of enzymes with similar biological activity) in plasma and serum. Measurements of creatine phosphokinase and its isoenzymes are used in the diagnosis and treatment of myocardial infarction and muscle diseases such as progressive, Duchenne-type muscular dystrophy.
