GLOVEL Gx Powder-free Latex Surgical Gloves; single-use disposable sterile surgical gloves; intended for use by surgeons and clinical staff during surgical procedures to provide a protective barrier. Device manufactured from latex; sterilized via Ethylene Oxide. Output is the physical glove itself. Clinical benefit includes protection against cross-contamination between patient and clinician.

Clinical Evidence

No clinical data; bench testing only. Testing included physical and dimensional inspection (AQL 2.5, Level S-2), FDA 1000 ml water fill test (AQL 1.5, Level I), and biocompatibility testing (primary skin irritation and sensitization).

Technological Characteristics

Material: Latex. Standard: ASTM D 3577-91. Sterilization: Ethylene Oxide (ETO) per EN550/AAMI/ANSI/ISO-11145-1994 (SAL 10^-5). Parameters: 750 mg/L ETO, 6-hour exposure, 55-60°C, 50% RH.

Powder-free Latex Surgical Gloves is substantially equivalent in safety and effectiveness to the Gloves sold by Safeskin Corporation USA, the brand name SAFESKIN-SUPRA. 7. Discussion of Non-Clinical Tests Performed for Determination of Substantial Equivalence are as follows: The standards used for Glovel Gx, Powder-free Latex Surgical Gloves production are based on ASTM-D-3577-91. All tests meet requirements of Physical and Dimensions Testing conducted on gloves, Inspection Level S-2, AQL 2.5. The FDA 1000 ml Water Fill Test was also conducted with samplings of AQL 1.5, Inspection Level I meeting these requirements. Primary Skin Irritation and Skin Sensitization (allergic contact dermatitis) testing was conducted with results showing no primary skin irritant or sensitization reactions. There are no special labeling claims and we do not claim our gloves as hypoallergenic on our labels. Method of Sterilization: Ethylene Oxide Methodology Used: EN550 Equivalent to AAMI/ANSI/ISO-11145-1994 Standard. There are no safety/efficacy issues or new claims from the "Substantial Equivalence" products cited. Based on the non-clinical tests our product has demonstrated to be as safe and effective as our predicate device.
