Indications for Use

Device provides mechanical support for navigation; hydrophilic coating on distal curve reduces friction. Single-use; sterile; non-pyrogenic.

Clinical Evidence

Bench testing only. No clinical or animal studies were required. Bench testing included simulated use, physical attributes, kink resistance, stiffness, tip flexibility, flexural fatigue, static/dynamic burst, liquid/air leakage, force at break, and torque strength. All tests met acceptance criteria.

Braid-reinforced variable stiffness catheter; stainless steel braid; PTFE body; tungsten coil; nylon hub; polyurethane strain relief. Hydrophilic coating. 6F size (1.02mm ID, 2.11mm OD). The ISAAC Catheter is sterilized using a validated 100% Ethylene Oxide sterilization process to ensure sterility assurance level (SAL) of $10^{-6}$ in accordance with ISO 11135. The modifications described in this submission do not impact sterilization as compared to the predicate device. The subject device’s shelf-life and packaging configuration remain identical to that of the predicate device. The differences between the subject device and the predicate device do not raise new questions of safety and effectiveness.
