Indications for Use

The BioWave BioWraps are cutaneous electrodes to be used with legally marketed BioWave branded neurostimulators. Device Story

BioWave BioWraps are washable, wrappable conductive garments; designed for use with BioWavePRO RX and BioWaveHOME RX neurostimulators. Input: electrical stimulation signals from external neurostimulator. Transformation: garments deliver stimulation signals to body surface via silver fiber conductive inner fabric; provide low current density with uniform distribution when used with conductive cream. Output: localized neurostimulation. Usage: clinic or home; operated by patient or clinician. Benefit: provides non-invasive, wearable interface for neurostimulation therapy at various anatomical sites; facilitates treatment of pain or other conditions addressed by BioWave stimulators.

Clinical Evidence

Bench testing only. Previous testing demonstrated conductivity, resistivity, impedance, and uniform current delivery. Biocompatibility and reusability were previously established. No new clinical data required as design changes involve anatomical expansion using previously validated materials and performance characteristics.
