Indications for Use

The SPECCHIO RF device is intended to provide heating for the purpose of elevating tissue temperature for selected medical conditions such as temporary relief of pain, muscle spasms, and increase in local circulation. The SPECCHIO massage device is intended to provide a temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite.

Device Story

SPECCHIO is a medical radio frequency (RF) and massage device used by clinicians in a professional setting. It utilizes high-frequency (2.45 GHz) bipolar RF currents to induce localized subcutaneous tissue heating (40-43°C) for pain relief, muscle spasm reduction, and increased local circulation. Integrated massaging handpieces provide mechanical stimulation for temporary cellulite reduction. The system includes three handpieces (Deep PRO, Shallow PRO, Pocket PRO) with AISI 316 material heads. The operator controls the device via a GUI; the system features a contact quality monitoring system to ensure safe energy delivery. By elevating tissue temperature, the device aims to provide therapeutic relief and aesthetic improvement. It is a modified version of the DEKA TIAC II, featuring updated chassis, GUI, and handpiece profiling.

Clinical Evidence

No clinical data provided. Bench testing only: ex-vivo animal tissue studies demonstrated the device maintains tissue temperature between 40°C-43°C for at least 5 minutes at maximum RF output power. Skin surface temperature maintenance (40°-45°C for 10 minutes) was verified using the same methodology as the predicate device.

Technological Characteristics

RF energy source (2.45 GHz, 200W, bipolar). Handpieces utilize AISI 316 stainless steel. Dimensions: Deep PRO (66mm), Shallow PRO (56mm), Pocket PRO (36.5mm). Electrical: 100-240V, 50/60Hz, 1500VA. Includes contact quality monitoring system. Standards: ANSI AAMI ES60601-1, IEC 60601-1-2, IEC 60601-2-6.

Indications for Use

Indicated for adults (22 years and older) for temporary relief of pain, muscle spasms, increased local circulation via RF heating, and temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite via massage.

Regulatory Classification

Identification
