Furthermore, as described in International Standard Organization (ISO) standard ISO-10993, Biological Evaluation of Medical Devices Part 1: Evaluation and Testing when a new material is used that has not been identified in a primary predicate device. The proposed devices are manufactured from standard raw material that are used in the primary predicate devices and other currently marketed dental implant and abutment system. The EK Dental Implants utilizes the exact same packaging materials & methods and is a medical grade titanium, non-mechanical, non-active device, therefore, degradation in performance characteristics is not likely over the established shelf life period.
