Water Solubility Human Body Lubricant is a non-sterile, semi-viscous, clear, odorless personal lubricant. Intended for OTC use to moisturize and supplement natural lubrication during intimate sexual activity. Applied topically to penile, anal, or vaginal areas. Compatible with natural rubber latex and polyisoprene condoms; incompatible with polyurethane condoms. Packaged in 120 mL PET bottles with disc tops. Benefits include enhanced ease and comfort during sexual activity.

Clinical Evidence

Bench testing only. Biocompatibility testing per ISO 10993-5 (cytotoxicity), ISO 10993-10 (sensitization), ISO 10993-23 (vaginal irritation), and ISO 10993-11 (acute systemic toxicity) confirmed non-toxic, non-irritating, and non-sensitizing profile. Condom compatibility tested per ASTM D7661-2023. Shelf-life validated via accelerated aging for 3 years.

Technological Characteristics

Water-based lubricant. Ingredients: Hyaluronic acid, Lubrajel CG, Lubrajel oil, Panthenol, Trimethyl glycine, Pentanediol, Hydroxyacetophenone, Ethylene glycol, Glycerol, Purified water. Viscosity: 3500–4500 cps (USP <911>); pH: 5.6–6.4 (USP <791>); Osmolality: 100–150 mOsm/kg (USP <785>). Non-sterile. PET bottle packaging.

Indications for Use

Indicated for individuals requiring personal lubrication for penile, anal, and/or vaginal application to enhance comfort during sexual activity. Compatible with natural rubber latex and polyisoprene condoms; contraindicated for use with polyurethane condoms.

Regulatory Classification

Identification

A condom is a sheath which completely covers the penis with a closely fitting membrane. The condom is used for contraceptive and for prophylactic purposes (preventing transmission of sexually transmitted infections). The device may also be used to collect semen to aid in the diagnosis of infertility.

Special Controls

*Classification.* (1) Class II (special controls) for condoms made of materials other than natural rubber latex, including natural membrane (skin) or synthetic.(2) Class II (special controls) for natural rubber latex condoms. Summary of Non-Clinical Performance Testing {7} K243107 Page 4 of 4 ## Biocompatibility Biocompatibility testing was performed in accordance with the 2023 FDA guidance document *Use of International Standard ISO 10993-1, “Biological Evaluation of Medical Devices – Part 1: Evaluation and testing within a risk management process.”* The following testing was conducted: - Cytotoxicity (ISO 10993-5:2009) - Sensitization (ISO 10993-10:2021) - Vaginal Irritation (ISO 10993-23:2021) - Acute Systemic Toxicity (ISO 10993-11:2017) The results of testing demonstrate that the subject device is non-cytotoxic, non-irritating, non-sensitizing, and not acutely, systemically toxic. ## Shelf-Life The subject device has a shelf-life of 3 years. Results from accelerated age testing demonstrated that the device maintains its specifications (as shown in Table 1) over the duration of its shelf-life. ## Condom Compatibility The compatibility of Water Solubility Human Body Lubricant with condoms was evaluated in accordance with ASTM D7661-2023 “Standard Test Method for Determining Compatibility of Personal Lubricants with Natural Rubber Latex Condoms.” The results of this test showed Water Solubility Human Body Lubricant is compatible with natural rubber latex and polyisoprene condoms. Results showed Water Solubility Human Body Lubricant is not compatible with polyurethane condoms. ## 10. Conclusion The results of the performance testing described above demonstrate that Water Solubility Human Body Lubricant is as safe and effective as the predicate device and supports a determination of substantial equivalence.
