Device Story

EnSite™ X EP System is a catheter navigation and mapping system used in clinical EP labs by physicians. It processes signals from electrophysiology catheters to display 3D catheter position, cardiac electrical activity (waveform traces), and 3D isopotential/isochronal maps of cardiac chambers. The system constructs anatomical models by collecting and labeling points as the catheter moves within the heart. The subject device (v2.0.1) adds compatibility with the TactiFlex™ Ablation Catheter, Sensor Enabled™, providing user-selectable Force Number Refresh Rates and a Force Direction Indicator (arrows at catheter tip). These features assist clinicians in visualizing contact force and orientation during ablation procedures, potentially improving procedural precision and patient outcomes. The system integrates with TactiSys™ Quartz Equipment for force visualization.
