Absorbable Cranial Flap Fixation System provides rigid fixation and coplanar alignment of cranial bone flaps post-craniotomy. Device consists of lower disc, upper disc, connecting rod, and rotating lock; upper disc moves axially along rod via rotation to grip bone flap. Manufactured from poly-L-lactic acid; supplied sterile for single use. Includes battery-powered Heat/Contouring Pen accessory for trimming excess rod. Used in clinical/surgical settings by neurosurgeons. Output is mechanical stabilization of bone flap; facilitates healing by maintaining alignment. Benefits include rigid fixation using resorbable materials, eliminating need for permanent metal implants.
