Antibacterial bandage; sterile, single-use, adhesive-backed dressing. Composed of adhesive backing, non-stick absorbent pad (polyester, viscose, PE mesh), and release liner. Pad impregnated with 0.8% (w/w) benzalkonium chloride to reduce bacterial colonization within dressing. Applied topically to skin by patient or caregiver for minor cuts, scrapes, and burns. Adhesive backing secures dressing in place. Provides physical protection and antimicrobial environment for wound management. Sterilized via ethylene oxide.

Clinical Evidence

No clinical study included. Evidence consists of bench testing (absorbency, moisture vapor transmission, peel strength, antibacterial effectiveness, package integrity) and biocompatibility testing (cytotoxicity, sensitization, systemic toxicity, pyrogenicity). Animal study (porcine model) demonstrated no difference in wound healing performance or local tolerance compared to predicate.
