Intended Use
The Angio Workstation (XIDF-AWS801) is used in combination with an interventional angiography system (Alphenix series systems, Infinix-i series systems and INFX series systems) to provide 2D and 3D imaging of selective catheter angiography procedures for the whole body (includes heart, chest, abdomen, brain and extremity). When XIDF-AWS801 is combined with Dose Tracking System (DTS), DTS is used with selective catheter anglography procedures for the heart, chest abdomen, pelvis and brain.
Device Story
Angio Workstation (XIDF-AWS801) processes and displays 2D/3D images from interventional angiography systems; used in clinical settings by medical professionals. Device inputs include diagnostic imaging data; performs image processing, measurement, and visualization; outputs processed images/results to PACS or workstations. Features include Dynamic Device Stabilization (DDS), Embolization Planning, vFFR application, 3D viewer, 4D CT superimposition, and needle guidance (up to 5 needles). Supports clinical decision-making during angiography by providing enhanced visualization and quantitative measurements. Benefits include improved procedural guidance and workflow efficiency.
Clinical Evidence
Bench testing only. Software verification and validation testing performed to ensure proper integration of modules. Risk management and design controls applied to mitigate risks. Performance data demonstrates system modifications result in performance equal to or better than the predicate.
Technological Characteristics
Workstation for image processing/display. Connectivity: DICOM/PACS. OS: Windows 10. Hardware: New GPU for image processing. Software: Moderate level of concern. Standards: IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-2, IEC 62304, IEC 62366-1, IEC 62368-1, ISO 14971.
Indications for Use
Indicated for patients undergoing selective catheter angiography procedures of the whole body (heart, chest, abdomen, brain, extremity) when used with compatible interventional angiography systems. Dose Tracking System (DTS) indicated for heart, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and brain procedures.
Regulatory Classification
Identification
An image-intensified fluoroscopic x-ray system is a device intended to visualize anatomical structures by converting a pattern of x-radiation into a visible image through electronic amplification. This generic type of device may include signal analysis and display equipment, patient and equipment supports, component parts, and accessories.
Special Controls
*Classification.* Class II (special controls). An anthrogram tray or radiology dental tray intended for use with an image-intensified fluoroscopic x-ray system only is exempt from the premarket notification procedures in subpart E of part 807 of this chapter subject to the limitations in § 892.9. In addition, when intended as an accessory to the device described in paragraph (a) of this section, the fluoroscopic compression device is exempt from the premarket notification procedures in subpart E of part 807 of this chapter subject to the limitations in § 892.9.

Dear Paul Biggins:
We have reviewed your Section 510(k) premarket notification of intent to market the device referenced above and have determined the device is substantially equivalent (for the indications for use stated in the enclosure) to legally marketed predicate devices marketed in interstate commerce prior to May 28, 1976, the enactment date of the Medical Device Amendments, or to devices that have been reclassified in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (Act) that do not require approval of a premarket approval application (PMA). You may, therefore, market the device, subject to the general controls provisions of the Act. Although this letter refers to your product as a device, please be aware that some cleared products may instead be combination products. The 510(k) Premarket Notification Database located at https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cdrh/cfdocs/cfpmn/pmn.cfm identifies combination product submissions. The general controls provisions of the Act include requirements for annual registration, listing of devices, good manufacturing practice, labeling, and prohibitions against misbranding and adulteration. Please note: CDRH does not evaluate information related to contract liability warranties. We remind you, however, that device labeling must be truthful and not misleading.
If your device is classified (see above) into either class II (Special Controls) or class III (PMA), it may be subject to additional controls. Existing major regulations affecting your device can be found in the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 21, Parts 800 to 898. In addition, FDA may publish further announcements concerning your device in the Federal Register.
