Intended Use
Coloring Liquid is a liquid used for the complete or partial coloration of milled zirconia substructure and anatomy before sintering.
Device Story
Coloring Liquid is a water-based, acidic metal salt solution used in dental laboratories. It is applied to milled zirconia dental frameworks or restorations via immersion or brushing prior to the final sintering process. The liquid contains inorganic pigments that penetrate the zirconia to achieve specific shades, allowing the final restoration to match the patient's natural tooth color. The device is intended for professional use by dental technicians. By enabling precise color matching before the high-temperature sintering phase, the device helps ensure the aesthetic quality of the final dental prosthesis.
Clinical Evidence
No clinical data. Bench testing and biocompatibility testing were performed. Biocompatibility testing included cytotoxicity (ISO 10993-5), oral mucosa irritation (ISO 10993-10), sensitization (ISO 10993-10), acute/subchronic systemic toxicity (ISO 10993-11), and genotoxicity (ISO 10993-3). All tests met acceptance criteria.
Technological Characteristics
Water-based solution containing inorganic pigments, polyethylene glycol, and inorganic salts. Non-sterile. Applied via brush or immersion. Designed for use with zirconia ceramic materials prior to high-temperature sintering.
Indications for Use
Indicated for the complete or partial coloration of milled zirconia substructure and anatomy prior to sintering in dental patients requiring dental restorations.
Regulatory Classification
Identification
Porcelain powder for clinical use is a device consisting of a mixture of kaolin, felspar, quartz, or other substances intended for use in the production of artificial teeth in fixed or removable dentures, of jacket crowns, facings, and veneers. The device is used in prosthetic dentistry by heating the powder mixture to a high temperature in an oven to produce a hard prosthesis with a glass-like finish.
