IAS features motorized gantry with X-ray source and flat-panel detector; performs 360-degree rotation for 3D reconstruction. New 4.2.0 software adds '2D Long Film' protocol, utilizing automated gantry motion and slot-filter collimation to stitch projection images into a single long-format 2D image. System displays gantry rotor/tilt angles on pendant. MVS provides visualization, window/leveling, and oblique view rendering. Integrates with image-guided surgery systems. Operated by physicians/technicians in clinical settings. Enhanced cybersecurity includes LDAP authentication, PHI encryption, and audit logging. Clinical Evidence
Bench testing only. Included software V&V, hardware verification, dosimetry measurements, and usability testing per FDA human factors guidance. Image quality assessment compared 4.2.0 to 4.1.0. A cadaver image pair study evaluated clinical utility of images between versions.

*Classification.* Class II (special controls). An anthrogram tray or radiology dental tray intended for use with an image-intensified fluoroscopic x-ray system only is exempt from the premarket notification procedures in subpart E of part 807 of this chapter subject to the limitations in § 892.9. In addition, when intended as an accessory to the device described in paragraph (a) of this section, the fluoroscopic compression device is exempt from the premarket notification procedures in subpart E of part 807 of this chapter subject to the limitations in § 892.9.

We have reviewed your Section 510(k) premarket notification of intent to market the device referenced above and have determined the device is substantially equivalent (for the indications for use stated in the enclosure) to legally marketed predicate devices marketed in interstate commerce prior to May 28, 1976, the enactment date of the Medical Device Amendments, or to devices that have been reclassified in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (Act) that do not require approval of a premarket approval application (PMA). You may, therefore, market the device, subject to the general controls provisions of the Act. Although this letter refers to your product as a device, please be aware that some cleared products may instead be combination products. The O-arm™ O2 Imaging System consists of two main assemblies that are used together:
- The Image Acquisition System (IAS) ●
- The Mobile View Station (MVS) .
The two units are interconnected by a single cable that provides power and signal data. The IAS has an internal battery pack that provides power for motorized transportation and gantry positioning. In addition, the battery pack is used to power the X-ray tank. The MVS has an internal UPS to support its function when mains power is disconnected.
The O-arm™ O2 Imaging System operates off standard line voltage within the following voltages:
