Device Story

The Stryker Universal Select Sterilization Tray System is a reusable, non-sterile platform for organizing and protecting surgical instruments and implants during steam sterilization and transport. The system consists of anodized aluminum implant modules, stainless steel instrument/accessory trays, and stainless steel racks (2-level or 3-level). Components feature slide-latch lids and silicone brackets for instrument retention. The system is designed to be placed inside a validated, FDA-cleared rigid sterilization container (e.g., Aesculap SterilContainer). Healthcare personnel load the trays with instruments and implants, place them into the rigid container, and subject the assembly to validated pre-vacuum steam sterilization cycles. All testing met acceptance criteria.
