Intended Use
NoCord with astringent is a low viscosity vinyl polysiloxane impression material which is indicated for use as the wash material when the tray/wash technique is performed for indirect dental restorations. When applied as the wash material, NoCord 1. Retracts the gingival tissue to expose the sub-gingival margin 2. Controls gingival bleeding 3. Reproduces the structure of a patient's teeth and gums
Device Story
NoCord is a low-viscosity vinyl polysiloxane (VPS) dental impression material. Used by dental professionals in clinical settings during indirect restoration procedures. Applied as a wash material in a tray/wash technique; simultaneously captures dental anatomy and manages gingival tissue. Functions by physically displacing gingival tissue to expose sub-gingival margins and providing hemostasis to control bleeding. Output is a high-precision physical impression of the patient's teeth and gums, used by dental laboratories to fabricate indirect restorations. Benefits include simplified clinical workflow by combining retraction, hemostasis, and impression-taking into a single step.
Clinical Evidence
Bench testing only. No clinical data provided.
Technological Characteristics
Vinyl polysiloxane (VPS) impression material. Low viscosity. Chemical composition includes astringent agents for tissue retraction and hemostasis. Physical form is a paste/viscous material. Standalone device; no software or electronic components.
Indications for Use
Indicated for use as a wash material in tray/wash techniques for indirect dental restorations to retract gingival tissue, control bleeding, and reproduce tooth/gum structure.
Regulatory Classification
