Intended Use
The InFill™ Graft Delivery System is intended to be used for the delivery of hydrated allograft, autograft or synthetic bone graft material to an orthopedic surgical site.
Device Story
InFill™ Graft Delivery System is a disposable, sterile, single-use piston syringe designed for orthopedic surgery. It facilitates the delivery of hydrated bone graft materials (allograft, autograft, or synthetic) to surgical sites. The device consists of a piston syringe, cannulated applicator tips of varying dimensions (150mm, 275mm, 300mm lengths; 3.5mm, 4.8mm, 8.0mm ODs), and accessories for mixing and filling. The surgeon manually operates the screw-actuated plunger to dispense graft material through the cannula. The system is used in clinical orthopedic settings to assist in bone grafting procedures, providing a controlled method for material placement. It does not contain pre-loaded graft material.
Clinical Evidence
Bench testing only. Performance was validated through simulated use testing, volume verification, maximum force verification, force to dispense verification, separation force testing, and liquid leak testing. All tests met specified criteria.
Technological Characteristics
Piston syringe system constructed of medical grade polymers. Features screw-actuated plunger, luer lock hub, and cannulated tips. Dimensions include 12cc syringe volume and various cannula lengths (150-300mm) and diameters (3.5-8.0mm). Provided sterile for single use. No electronic components or software.
Indications for Use
Indicated for the delivery of hydrated allograft, autograft, or synthetic bone graft material to an orthopedic surgical site in patients requiring bone grafting procedures.
Regulatory Classification
Identification
A piston syringe is a device intended for medical purposes that consists of a calibrated hollow barrel and a movable plunger. At one end of the barrel there is a male connector (nozzle) for fitting the female connector (hub) of a hypodermic single lumen needle.
