Device Story
DentiAnn Smart Sil is a two-component (base paste and catalyst) vinyl polysiloxane dental impression material. Available in four viscosities (light, heavy, putty, bite) and delivered via cartridges, tubes, or jars. Used by dental professionals in clinical settings to create accurate dental impressions for restorative procedures like crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, and occlusal registrations. The material is mixed at a 1:1 ratio; it cures to form a stable, dimensionally accurate mold of the patient's oral structures. The resulting impression allows the dentist to create precise dental models for prosthetic fabrication. Benefits include high elastic recovery and dimensional stability, ensuring accurate fit of final dental restorations.
Clinical Evidence
Bench testing only. Performance evaluated per ISO 4823 (consistency, mixing/working time, detail reproduction, gypsum compatibility, linear dimensional change, elastic recovery, strain-in-compression) and ISO 10993 (cytotoxicity, skin sensitization, oral mucous irritation, acute systemic toxicity). Results support substantial equivalence.
Technological Characteristics
Vinyl polysiloxane impression material; 1:1 base/catalyst mixing ratio. Available in light, heavy, putty, and bite viscosities. Non-sterile. Complies with ISO 4823 (Type 0, 1, 3) and ISO 10993 biocompatibility standards. Delivery via cartridges, tubes, or jars with mixing tips.
Indications for Use
Indicated for dental patients requiring impression materials for crown/bridge work, inlays, onlays, reline impressions, functional peripheries, putty/wash techniques, and occlusal bite registrations.
Regulatory Classification
Identification
