Intended Use

The Attain Command™ + SureValve™ Left Heart Delivery System and Attain Command™ + SureValve™ Guide Catheters for Left Heart Delivery are intended for introducing transvenous devices and leads into vessels of the left heart via the coronary sinus. The Attain Select™ II + SureValve™ delivery catheter system is indicated for the delivery of contrast medium and transvenous devices to the coronary sinus and left-heart venous anatomy. The delivery catheter system is indicated for use with outer guide catheters.

Device Story

The Attain Command™ + SureValve™ and Attain Select™ II + SureValve™ systems are catheter-based delivery tools used by physicians in clinical settings to facilitate lead implantation in the left heart. The system utilizes a telescoping design: an outer guide catheter gains access to the coronary sinus, while an inner delivery catheter provides subselection capabilities for navigating cardiac veins. Components include integrated hemostasis valves (SureValve™) to manage blood loss, dilators, guide wires, and slitters for catheter removal. The devices are radiopaque to allow visualization under fluoroscopy. By providing a stable pathway for transvenous devices and contrast media, the system assists clinicians in precise lead placement, potentially improving outcomes for patients undergoing cardiac resynchronization therapy or similar procedures.

Clinical Evidence

No clinical investigation was performed. Substantial equivalence is supported by non-clinical bench testing, including dimensional, safety, performance, and interface testing, as well as biocompatibility evaluations per ISO 10993-1 and sterilization validation per ISO 11135-1.

Technological Characteristics

Catheter-based delivery system; telescoping design; integrated hemostasis valve (SureValve™). Materials evaluated for biocompatibility per ISO 10993-1 (limited contact <24 hours). Radiopaque tips for fluoroscopic visualization. Sterilization via ethylene oxide (ISO 11135-1).

Indications for Use

Indicated for patients requiring transvenous device or lead placement in the left heart via the coronary sinus, or delivery of contrast medium to the coronary sinus and left-heart venous anatomy. Used in conjunction with outer guide catheters for subselection.

Regulatory Classification

Identification
