Intended Use

PANAVIA SA CEMENT Handmix is a dual-cure (light- and/or self-cure), radiopaque self-adhesive resin cement for porcelain, ceramic, composite resin and metal restorations. It is intended for the following indications: (1) Cementation of crowns, bridges, inlays and onlays made of porcelain, ceramic, composite resin or metal (2) Cementation of porcelain, ceramic, composite resin or metal restorations on implant abutments (3) Cementation of metal cores, resin cores, metal posts or glass fiber posts

Device Story

PANAVIA SA CEMENT Handmix is a dual-cure (light- and/or self-cure), radiopaque self-adhesive resin cement. Used by dental professionals in clinical settings for the permanent cementation of various dental restorations (crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays) and posts (metal, resin, glass fiber) to tooth structure or implant abutments. The material contains an adhesive monomer, facilitating bonding without separate pretreatment. The clinician applies the cement to the restoration or post, which is then seated; the material cures via self-curing mechanisms or external light energy. The device provides secure fixation of dental prosthetics, restoring function and aesthetics for the patient.

Clinical Evidence

Bench testing only. Performance evaluated according to ISO 4049:2009 (Dentistry - Polymer-based restorative materials). Bond strength testing demonstrated equivalence to predicate devices.

Technological Characteristics

Dual-cure (light/self-cure) radiopaque self-adhesive resin cement. Contains adhesive monomer. Evaluated per ISO 4049:2009 (Class 3 material).

Indications for Use

Indicated for the cementation of crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, and restorations on implant abutments made of porcelain, ceramic, composite resin, or metal, as well as the cementation of metal cores, resin cores, metal posts, or glass fiber posts.
