Intended Use

The 3000T Digital X-ray Direct Imaging Flat Panel Detector System provides a digital image capture capability for conventional radiographic examinations (excluding fluoroscopic, angiographic, and mammographic applications). The device has application wherever conventional screen-film systems are currently used.

Device Story

WV3000T Digital X-ray Direct Imaging Flat Panel Detector System captures and converts conventional projection X-rays into digital images. System components include a detector array, multi-box for exposure synchronization with high-voltage generators, and a system controller (PC-based software). Detector array captures diagnostic images in electronic form; multi-box harmonizes array and generator; system controller manages patient demographics, exposure initiation, image preview, and storage. Controller performs image processing including gain, offset, and defective pixel correction. Used in clinical settings for conventional radiography; operated by healthcare professionals. Enables immediate image quality verification without wet chemical film processing. Output transmitted via LAN for diagnostic viewing, printing, or archiving.

Clinical Evidence

Clinical Test Report provided. Device performance validated through electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility testing per IEC 60601-1 and IEC 60601-1-2 standards.

Technological Characteristics

Solid-state X-ray imaging detector array; digital flat panel technology. System controller software runs on customer-provided PC hardware. Connectivity via LAN for image transmission. Electrical safety/EMC per IEC 60601-1 and IEC 60601-1-2.

Indications for Use

Indicated for conventional radiographic examinations in patients requiring diagnostic imaging where screen-film systems are typically used. Excludes fluoroscopic, angiographic, and mammographic applications.

Regulatory Classification

Identification

A stationary x-ray system is a permanently installed diagnostic system intended to generate and control x-rays for examination of various anatomical regions. This generic type of device may include signal analysis and display equipment, patient and equipment supports, component parts, and accessories.

Special Controls

*Classification.* Class II (special controls). A radiographic contrast tray or radiology diagnostic kit intended for use with a stationary x-ray system only is exempt from the premarket notification procedures in subpart E of part 807 of this chapter subject to the limitations in § 892.9.

Device Description The WV300T Digital X-ray Direct Imaging Flat Panel Detector System is used to directly capture and convert conventional projection X-ray images to digital images. A image preview function can be displayed on a review monitor for viewing. The diagnostic image can be transmitted through LAN for diagnostic viewing and printing. The device provides digital image capture for conventional radiographic examinations, excluding fluoroscopic, angiographic and mammographic applications. The system differs from traditional X-ray systems in that instead of exposing a film for subsequent wet chemical processing to create a hardcopy image, a device called a detector array is used to capture the image in electronic form. The digital data are then used to produce hardcopy and softcopy images. The WV3000T Digital X-ray Direct Imaging Flat Panel Detector System is composed of the following: A detector array is used to capture the diagnostic image, and transfer the image to system controller in digital format. An multi-box is used to control detector array, harmonize the working between the array controller and high-voltage generator for exposal synchronization. A system controller is used to enter patient demographic information, initiate the exposure process, review captured images, and accept or reject captured images. The system controller is also used to send images to a hardcopy printer, workstation, or archive, and manage images temporarily stored in its database. Here, the system controller is the software device and which should install in the PC hardware system purchased by themselves of customer. The system controller also can make some disposal for the original image, such as gain, offset and defective pixel correction. By capturing, previewing, and storing and image, the system enables an operator to check the quality of an image at the time of exposure without having to develop a film. {2}------------------------------------------------ #### 4.
