Intended Use

The EnSite Verismo Segmentation Tool (EV1000) is indicated for use in generating 3D models from CT, MR, or rotational angiography DICOM image data. Generated models are intended to be displayed on the EnSite Velocity System.

Device Story

EnSite Verismo Segmentation Tool v.2.0 processes DICOM image data (CT, MR, rotational angiography) to generate 3D anatomical models. These models are exported for display on the EnSite Velocity System. Used in clinical settings to assist visualization of patient anatomy. Healthcare providers use the generated 3D models to support clinical decision-making during procedures. The device functions as a software tool for image processing and segmentation.

Clinical Evidence

Bench testing only. Testing included software verification, hazard mitigation, code review, user testing, instructions for use (IFU) testing, and regression testing.

Technological Characteristics

Software-based image processing tool for 3D model generation from DICOM data. Operates on CT, MR, and rotational angiography inputs. Designed for integration with the EnSite Velocity System. Complies with 21 CFR 820.30 design controls.

Indications for Use

Indicated for generating 3D anatomical models from CT, MR, or rotational angiography DICOM image data for display on the EnSite Velocity System.

Regulatory Classification

Identification

A medical image management and processing system is a device that provides one or more capabilities relating to the review and digital processing of medical images for the purposes of interpretation by a trained practitioner of disease detection, diagnosis, or patient management. The software components may provide advanced or complex image processing functions for image manipulation, enhancement, or quantification that are intended for use in the interpretation and analysis of medical images. Advanced image manipulation functions may include image segmentation, multimodality image registration, or 3D visualization. Complex quantitative functions may include semi-automated measurements or time-series measurements.

Special Controls

*Classification.* Class II (special controls; voluntary standards—Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) Std., Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) Std., Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) Test Pattern).
